My mother is a sewer and quilt maker. I’ll always picture my cousins Lisa and Anna with art and craft materials in their hands. So it was a natural fit when my friends Jimena and Camille put me on a path in embroidery. Sew away!

Installations
Moving to the Blue Ridge mountains reignited my sense of the dimensions. After the grid of midwestern life, I suddenly saw height and the changes that coming from being forced to move around the landscape. My notebook is full of ideas for pieces the viewer needs to move around to fully see. So far, the above is the in-progress first, a look at Hurricane Helene and the remains of the aid sent to the area.
